Base44 has a free plan and four paid plans: Starter, Builder, Pro and Elite, plus custom Enterprise pricing. Every plan gives you a monthly allowance of two kinds of credits: message credits for building with the AI, and integration credits for what your finished app does at runtime.

What message credits and integration credits mean
Message credits are spent when you chat with the AI builder to create or change your app: adding a page, changing a data model, fixing a bug. How many credits one message uses depends on the action and on the AI model you select.
Integration credits are spent when the finished app uses built-in integrations while people use it: LLM calls, sending emails, generating images or uploading files. An app with lots of AI features and users burns integration credits even when nobody is editing it.
A simple way to think about it: message credits are your building budget, integration credits are your running budget.

- Free: core Base44 features, up to 5 apps, authentication, database and analytics. No custom domain.
- Starter: unlimited apps, in-app code edits, connect your own domain, free domain for one year.
- Builder: everything in Starter, plus AI model selection, GitHub integration and 25 credits to share with a friend.
- Pro: everything in Builder, plus early access to beta features.
- Elite: everything in Pro, plus premium support.
All plans include the AI app builder, the integrated backend and database, the visual editor, an analytics dashboard, multi-user editing, cloud storage, user management and debugging tools.
Which Base44 plan do you need?
- You are testing an idea: start on Free. 25 message credits are enough to see whether the builder fits the way you work, not to finish a full app.
- You want one app live on your own domain: Starter is the cheapest plan with a custom domain.
- You build every week or want your code on GitHub: Builder is the first plan with GitHub integration and model choice, which is usually the practical minimum for serious projects.
- Your app has many users or AI features: look at integration credits first. Pro and Elite raise them to 20,000 and 50,000 a month.
How to keep Base44 costs predictable
- Plan before you prompt. Write down pages, data and user roles first. Clear, complete requests use fewer message credits than many small corrections.
- Batch your changes. One well-described change is cheaper than five half-described ones.
- Watch runtime usage. If integration credits drop fast, check which features call an LLM or send emails on every page view.
- Review usage every month on your billing dashboard and move up or down a plan. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
- Budget for third-party services separately. Services you connect (payment, email, external APIs) bill you directly.
